Tour Itinerary:
Day 01 – Saturday USA-ICELAND
Board your modern jetliner for overnight flight to Keflavik Airport
in Iceland Meals:In flight
Day 02 – Sunday REYKJAVIK
Upon arrival optional Flybus or Private car/driver transfer to Reykjavik City.
Check in at your hotel. Afternoon free on
own to explore Reykjavik.

Day 03 – Monday REYKJAVIK-SOUTH SHORE
Pick up at your hotel between 8:15 and 9:30AM. From Reykjavík head through the town of Hveragerði and the surrounding fertile farmlands, noting the numerous glacial rivers on the way to Skógar. Continue to Dyrhólaey, a nature reserve, ready to explore (closed during nesting season 5/15-6/23). Discover the former site of a 12th-century Catholic convent at Kirkjubæjarklaustur. Dinner and overnight in Kirkjubæjarklaustur area.

Day 04 – Tuesday SKAFTAFELL NATIONAL PARK-GLACIAL LAGOON
Depart from Kirkjubæjarklaustur onward to Skaftafell National Park, one of Iceland's most outstanding areas of natural beauty, dominated by Vatnajökull, Europe's largest ice cap. Continue to the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon where huge icebergs float and grind together in the still, deep waters of the lagoon. Dinner and overnight in Kirkjubæjarklaustur area.

Day 05 – Wednesday LANDMANNALAUGAR or PORSMÖRK VALLEY
Strike out along the Fjallabaksleið interior track to Landmannalaugar#, a magnificent area surrounded by colourful rhyolite mountains, with the option of bathing in a natural warm pool, a great way to rejuvenate the skin and the spirit. Spot the towering Hekla, the iconic Icelandic volcano, after exploring the Þjórsárdalur Valley. Dinner and overnight in Flúðir area.

(# Note: If the route to Landmannalaugar is closed due to road conditions (spring or early summer) the tour goes through lava fields and outwash sands formed by floods from the glacial volcano Katla to Vík, passing two beautiful waterfalls, and on to Þórsmörk valley).
Day 06 – Thursday GULLFOSS-PINGVELLIR NATIONALPARK-REYKJAVIK
Depart for the Geyser area to see the famous great Geyser and Strokkur, a hot spring that spouts every few minutes. On to Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most impressive waterfalls. The next stop is Thingvellir National Park, where the ancient parliament met for centuries on the shores of Iceland's largest lake, before heading back to Reykjavik. Overnight stay in Reykjavík.

Day 07 – Friday REYKJAVIK-USA
Morning free for optional Reykjavik City Tour, Blue Lagoon Tour or some last minute
shopping. We can assist with optional Flybus or Private car/driver for transfer to Keflavik Airport and your afternoon
flight back to the U.S.
