ScanAm is pleased to offer our Fjord Norway experience to the world famous Geirangerfjord. The tour starts in scenic Bergen with one night to allow for time explore prior to embarking one of the Hurtigruten Coastal Voyage ships for an 8:00 PM overnight cruise to Ålesund and the spectacular Geirangerfjord.
In Geiranger disembark and spend 1 night at the charming Hotel Union & Spa, overlooking Geirangerfjord. You will have plenty of time to take optional fjord tours available from the Tourist Information office. On Day 4. an afternoon departure by scheduled bus for one of the world’s most scenic drives between Geiranger and Åndalsnes via the “Eagle’s Road”, offering views of the beautiful Seven Sisters waterfall. After crossing the Tafjord by ferry, your bus will continue along Norway’s most popular tourist road the “Trollstigen”, from which you will see some of the highest mountain peaks in northern Europe. After you arrive in Åndalsnes your will have a short time to explore prior to boarding the Rauma rail line (click for link to learn more about this rail journey). This train offers a beautiful ride to Dombås and onward by regular train via the scenic Gudbrandsdal valley to Oslo. Arrival in the evening with 1 night included.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1—Arrival on own into Bergen. 1 night included at Hotel Augustin or similar
Day 2 —Breakfast at your hotel. Full day to explore Bergen, take an optional city tour or you even have time to do the famous Norway in a Nutshell daytour. (8.40AM-6PM) Early evening short transfer on own to the "Hurtigruten" (HCV) ship for a northbound overnight sailing along the west coast to Ålesund
Day 3—After short morning call in Ålesund, you stay
on ship, you will be sailing into Geirangerfjord on HCV disembarking in Geiranger
at 1.30 PM with 1 night at Hotel Union & Spa including dinner & breakfast
Day 4—Breakfast buffet at Union Hotel. Late morning departure by scheduled coach for a spectacular ride to Åndalsnes. Upon arrival board the spectacular Rauma Rail Line for a 90 minute journey to Dombås. Here you will connect to the express train
bound for Oslo with early/late evening arrival. This 4-hour train trip will take you through the scenic Gulbrandsdals Valley and
Lillehammer, site of the 1994 Winter Olympics, to Oslo.
1 night included at Thon Hotel Opera or similar. Option last night can also be booked at Oslo Gardermoen Airport as train stops at airport station enroute. Let us know when booking if you want this option
Day 5—Breakfast at your Oslo hotel. End of tour

category “L”-cabin or similar
• 1 night with dinner & breakfast buffet and taxes at Hotel Union or similar
• Scheduled bus from Geiranger to Åndalsnes
• Standard class rail from Åndalsnes to Oslo via Dombaas including seat reservations
• 1 night in Oslo (or Oslo Gardermoen Airport) as per itinerary including breakfast & tax
Not Included:
• Meals on Hurtigruten ship, can only be purchased onboard
• Transfers to and from hotel, piers and rail/bus stations
• Optional rail from Oslo to Bergen or v.v. add $184 per person adult incl. seat reservation

* NOTE ! Tour can be done in reverse from Oslo to Bergen most days of the week but with some limitations and changes in itinerary/cost. It is not possible to sail on Hurtigruten Coastal Voyage out of Geiranger so scheduled bus service would be provided to Ålesund to connect to southbound HCV ship sailing at 0.45 AM, arriving into Bergen at 2.30 PM
