HARDANGER FJORD DAY TOURS

If you have limited time in Bergen or want to see more of the spectacular Norwegian Fjord Region, we recommend that you visit the Hardanger Fjord, located south/east of Bergen. Hardanger Fjord is known for its beautiful waterways, spectacular mountains, idyllic orchards and cozy small scenic fjord towns. All tours include a morning scheduled coach from Bergen to Norheimsund, followed by a 2 hour 45 minute cruise on the Hardanger Fjord into Eidfjord.
Here you will have 3 hours to explore on your own or take an optional
3-hour guided tour to the Hardangervidda Nature Center and the Voringfossen Waterfall, the larges in Norway. From Eidfjord the tour continues by boat for 30 minutes to Ulvik for a short visit before onward travel by scheduled coach to Voss and the train back to Bergen around 7PM or on to Oslo with late arrival around 10.36PM. Tours are operated,
Bergen to Bergen and Bergen to Oslo as daytour's. Tour can only be done from Oslo with overnight in Voss & Bergen as listed below.

This tour is an extension of the Hardanger Fjord
tour and features an overnight at either the Voringfoss Hotel in Eidfjord, the RICA Brakanes Hotel in Ulvik, the Ullensvang Resort in Lofthus or the historic Fleischer’s
Hotel in Voss. On Day 2 the tour continues from either Eidfjord, Ulvik, Lofthus
or Voss to Bergen or to Oslo, see below for details
Standard Itinerary: Bergen to Bergen, starting by train
Tour H1460-2E (Eidfjord overnight)
Day 1—Morning train from Bergen Central station at 8:40AM bound for Voss with arrival at 9:53AM. A quick connection to scheduled coach bound for Ulvik (overnight option) by Osafjord. Board boat at 11:15AM for a 30 minute sailing into the scenic Eidfjord, with arrival at 11:45AM. Make your way to the Voringfoss Hotel. Dinner and overnight at Voringfoss Hotel. Time to explore Eidfjord and local sights or take an optional 3 hour tour to see the Voringsfossen, the largest waterfall in Norway plus a visit to the Hardangervidda Nature Center.
Day 2—Breakfast at your hotel. Free time until a 2:40PM departure on a ~ 3 hour Hardangerfjord cruise to the town of Norheimsund (via Lofthus overnight option), with arrival at 5:30PM. Enroute you will see towering mountains, waterfalls and idyllic orchards. Make your way to the scheduled coach departing at 5:40PM (6:35PM on Saturdays) bound for Bergen with arrival 7:00PM (7:55PM on Saturdays).

• Standard class train between Bergen to Voss (8:40AM-9:53AM)
• Scheduled coach to
Ulvik (10:05AM-11:00AM)
• Short cruise Ulvik to Eidfjord (11:15AM-11:45AM)
• Overnight at the Voringfoss Hotel, or options for the RICA Brakanes Hotel-Ulvik, Ullensvang Resort-Lofthus or the Fleischer’s Hotel-Voss including breakfast
and 3 course dinner or smorgaasbord buffet.
• Cruise on Hardanger Fjord Eidfjord to Norheimsund via Lofthus (2:40PM-5:30PM)
• Scheduled coach from Norheimsund to Bergen (5:40PM-7:00PM except Saturdays 6:35PM-7:55PM)
