COUNTRYSIDE HOTELS SWEDEN TOURS
Countryside Hotels consists of 35 unique and charming privately owned Castles, Manor Houses and Country Inns located throughout central and southern Sweden. Each hotel offers Scandinavian coziness, design and style combined with the best service, eye for detail, fantastic scenery and a culinary experience above the ordinary, using fresh local ingredients. Most properties also offer a wide selection of in- and outdoor activities including swimming pool, jacuzzi, spa services, golfing, boating, fishing, hiking, skiing, riding and much more. The Countryside Hotels are located close to major cities as well as in small typical Swedish villages near lakes and forests, and are easily reached with a rental car. Driving in Sweden is easy, roads and signs are excellent and most locals speak English, should you need some help. We feature a couple of tours that cover some of the most scenic areas of Sweden, and we will be happy to custom arrange an itinerary that suits your schedule and interests

Daily Departures All Year
Day 1—Arrival into Stockholm. Pre-tour night in city center hotel located close to car rental office. Remainder of day free to explore Stockholm and/or take an optional city tour.
Overnight at 4* RICA Stockholm Hotel or similar
Day 2—Breakfast at your hotel. Morning or afternoon rental car pick up before departure from Stockholm City for a two hour drive west towards the city of Eskilstuna for an overnight at Sundbyholm Castle on the southern shore of Lake Mälaren. The Castle is famous for its restaurant and offer an array of activities plus golfing close by
Day 3—Today you will drive north for one hour to Kolsva and the cozy Kohlswa Manor located next to Hedströmen River. Game-fishing and riding nearby
Day 4—Continue into Dalarna and the charming Swedish Folklore District. After about 2 hours you will reach the cozy town of Dala Husby. Here you will overnight at charming Dala-Husby Manor offering views of Dalalven river. The Manor offers nature trails, golf nearby and an award-winning restaurant
Day 5 —Drive north for 2 hours to the city of Tällberg on the beautiful Lake Siljan for an overnight at Klockargården
hotel & Resort. The hotel is famous for its traditional Swedish restaurant. Visit the Dala Horse factory, Zorn Museum and famous artist Carl Larsson’s House
Day 6—After breakfast you will drive east for about 3 hours to the picturesque town of Gimo, close to the Swedish eastern shore and the famous university city of Uppsala.
Overnight at charming Gimo Manor House & Estate
Day 7 —Return to Stockholm Airport or City, a 1-2 hour drive.
Post-tour night in city center hotel located close to car rental office. Remainder of day free to do some last minute shopping and/or visit the famous Old City area located close to your hotel. Overnight at RICA Stockholm Hotel or similar.
Day 8—After a good breakfast check-out and tour terminates

Day 1—Arrival into Stockholm. Pre-tour night in city center hotel located close to car rental office. Remainder of day free to explore Stockholm and/or take an optional city tour.

Day 2—Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Morning or afternoon rental car pick up before departure from Stockholm City for a 2-hour drive south-west to the town of Flen. Overnight at spectacular Yxtaholms Castle. The Castle offers many activities and is famous for its restaurant and wine cellar.
Day 3—Continue west for 2 hours to the city of Aspa Bruk, on the western shore of Lake Vättern, for an overnight at historic Aspa Manor. The manor is famous for its restaurant and offers multiple activities including boating, fishing, picnic and hiking.
Day 4—Today drive north-west for 2 hours, close to the old city of Philipstad, and the cozy Hennickehammers Manor House. The hotel offers many outdoor activities such as tennis, riding, fishing, biking and has one of Sweden’s best restaurants.
Day 5 —Head southwest along Lake Väneren for 3 hours to the city of Trollhättan. Here you will overnight at Albert Kök Hotell situated on a plateau offering views of a beautiful waterfall and downtown. Hotell has an award-winning restaurant.
Day 6—Driving east for 3-4 hours to the old city of Vadstena and the historic Vadstena Klosterhotell. An old monastery made into an unique hotel. The hotel offers many activities and sights.
Day 7—Return to Stockholm, a 2 hour drive.
Post-tour night in city center hotel located close to car rental office. Remainder of day free to do some last minute shopping and/or visit the famous Old City area located close to your hotel. Overnight at RICA Stockholm Hotel or similar.

is valid at 45 properties in central & southern Sweden and the
price starts at $115 per person in a double room including breakfast buffet and
taxes. Single and extra bed supplements are from $55 per night.
