Day 02: Oslo - Lofthus - Hardangerfjord
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before meeting with your tour escort to the start of your Magical Norway tour. Board your private tour coach with your guide and head into Norway’s fjord country: drive past Hønefoss, Nesbyen, and along the picturesque Hallingdal Valley to the tourist resort town of Geilo!
We’ll continue across the scenic Hardanger Mountain Plateau to the idyllic Hardangerfjord and arrive at Lofthus, one of the most beautiful points of the fjord. Dinner and a fjord view room are provided at a four star hotel on the banks of the Hardangerfjord.
Day 03: Lofthus - Bergen
We’ll leave Lofthus today and travel along the Hardangerfjord to Brimnes. Cross the newly opened Hardanger Bridge—one of the longest suspension bridge spans in the world—and continue on your journey to Bergen, the old Hanseatic capital of western Norway and the gateway to the fjords.
Tour Bergen this afternoon with a local English-speaking guide and enjoy the city’s highlights: St. Mary’s Church, the exterior of Haakon’s Hall, the picturesque fish markets, and the old Bryggen Harbor area. The evening is yours to explore the city.
Tonight you’ll stay at a four star hotel located in the city center by Bryggen Harbor.

Day 04: Bergen - Flåm Railroad - Loen
After a delicious Scandinavian buffet breakfast, travel to the town of Voss. Board a train and cross the mountain plateau to Myrdal, and then climb aboard the world-famous Flåm Railroad, one of the highlights of the Magical Norway tour.
Experience one of the most spectacular rail journeys as you descend to the quaint fjord village of Flåm. Tour Flåm independently before embarking on the afternoon ferry along the lovely Sognefjord—the longest and deepest fjord in Norway—and its two beautiful branches, the Nærøyfjord and the Aurland.
Disembark in Gudvangen and continue by coach through one of the longest tunnels in Norway, traveling through beautiful Lærdal and Skei until we reach Loen. Dinner and overnight tonight are at a four star hotel (includes a fjord view room) located on the edge of the stunning fjord.
Day 05: Loen - Briksdal Glacier (Optional) - Geirangerfjord
Buffet breakfast is at your hotel this morning. You’ll have the option today to either enjoy the hospitality of your hotel—which includes a luxurious spa and indoor/outdoor heated pool—or explore Briksdal Glacier, a famous and breathtaking blue glacier tongue which is part of the Jostedal Glacier. If you choose to join the Briksdal Glacier tour, you’ll travel with your guide to the very foot of the glacier. From here, you’ll alternate between small motorized ‘troll’ cars and walking through the Norwegian wilderness to the edge of the ice. Free time for lunch (not included) is provided afterward.
Join the main group back at your hotel and leave Loen in the late afternoon. Continue with your guide through the Norwegian fjords to the famous Dalsnibba observation point—an extraordinary 4,800 feet above sea level—located above the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord.
Continue down to Geiranger and stay in a fjord view room at a stunning four star hotel located on the fjord. We’ll spend two nights in the wonderful surroundings of mountains and fjords, and get the most out of this extraordinary part of the world. Dinner is at your hotel after a special tour of the Mjelva family’s classic car collection, used in the 1920s and 1930s to show guests of the hotel the beauty of the Geirangerfjord.
NOTE: The excursion to Briksdal Glacier must be booked in advance. Passengers who choose not to join the excursion will be picked up at the hotel prior to leaving Loen. Visit to Dalsnibba is subject to climatic conditions, and is not guaranteed.
Day 06: Geirangerfjord
Your Magical Norway tour continues after breakfast at the hotel by crossing the dramatic, lush, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Geirangerfjord via ferry.
Travel from Geiranger through beautiful unspoiled landscape to Hellesylt. Disembark in Hellesylt and travel north to Trollstigen, or ‘Troll's path’, one of the most dramatic areas in Norway. Navigate the 11 hairpin turns on this stunning stretch of road that winds its way along 100km of incredible landscape (weather permitting). Lunch stop en-route (lunch is not included).
In the afternoon return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 07: Geirangerfjord - Oslo
Breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning we’ll depart by coach to the capital of Oslo, crossing the exciting Grotli Mountains to Lom—renowned for its well preserved 12th-century stave church.
The tour continues descending the magnificent Gudbrands Valley via Otta with a late afternoon arrival into Oslo. Tonight you’ll stay at a local five star hotel, and have free time for exploration of the city.
