Sweden’s Highlights

Experience Scandinavia, the Baltics, and Russia with us this summer—discount begins November 01 and details can be viewed on our Current Specials page.

Sweden is located north of Denmark and between Norway & Finland.  This beautiful country has plenty to offer tourists ready to explore the many lakes, lovely countryside, endless driving routes, snowy winters and many buzzing cities.  Many of Sweden’s highlights are found within its historic towns and villages, such as Eksjo, Lappstaden, Lund, Oland and Sigtuna, the country’s oldest town.  Stockholm, the capital city, is the main draw in Sweden.  Stockholm is set on a series of islands, with the Norrmalm area in the heart of town, and Gamla Stan the “old city” section.  It is also known for the annual Nobel Prize ceremonies.  Other much-visited cities in Sweden include Malmo, Uppsala, Västeras and the port city of Gothenburg (Göteborg), where Scandinavia’s second-largest university is located.

Sweden Tour Recommendations

Some of the best ways to explore Sweden is by taking an Independent Tour or Self-Drive vacation. One of our great self-drive tours takes you on a cultural adventure to see the Swedish Waterways & Folklore District. This tour is a great option if you love to be outdoors and you’re interested in immersing yourself in some good old fashioned Swedish culture. Castles, old manors, museums, and Swedish art are just some of the amazing things you’ll get to experience as you navigate along the beautiful lakes and rivers of Sweden’s countryside. Another great option is our “Lakes & the Charming Swedish Countryside” tour which is 8 days and departs all year round.
