Personal Data: Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
ScanAm World Tours does not, as a rule, capture personal data about any individual except when provided by that individual, and in such cases is the sole owner of the information collected. “Personal data” can be defined as information that identifies, or can be used to contact and/or locate, an individual to whom such information pertains including but not limited to first and last name, email address, home/postal/physical address, or other such contact information. Information such as credit cards, passports, and the like are obtained through secure means, and are used only in the confirmation of services or processing of a payment endorsed by the client.
We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request: i.e. to book a land package or cruise.

Security of Your Data
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
In order to request information or book a travel service through this website, a user must complete the registration form appropriate to the user’s need (i.e. fill out our ‘Request a Quote’ form). During registration, a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest.
We request information from you on our online forms, such as our ‘Booking Agreement Form’. To purchase services from us, you must provide contact information (such as your name and shipping address) as well as financial information (like a credit card number and expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and for the purposes of mailing travel documents. If we have trouble processing your booking, we’ll use this information to contact you.
We share aggregated demographic information with our partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
We use a secure outside credit card processing company to bill our clients for services purchased. This company does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond processing the payment for services purchased from ScanAm.
We partner with ground and cruise suppliers who are located abroad in order to provide specific travel services for our clients. When the user signs up for these services, we will share names and/or other pertinent contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.
