Day 01: Arrive Copenhagen
Arrive in Copenhagen and meet our local representative at Copenhagen Airport before transferring together to your four star hotel.
Please see welcome letter upon check-in at hotel for details about the meeting point and time with your tour escort. A short welcome meeting will be held this evening, where you will receive more information about the upcoming tour program. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
NOTE: Escorted transfer is only available from Copenhagen airport to your hotel on the official start date of the tour. Transfers are conducted by an English-speaking representative.
Day 02: Copenhagen – Oslo
Scandinavian buffet breakfast at hotel. This morning start a 3-hour private city sightseeing tour with a local English-speaking guide covering the highlights of Copenhagen, passing the Royal Palace, Nyhavn, Old Stock Exchange, The Little Mermaid, Christiansborg Palace—housing of the Danish Parliament—Tivoli Gardens, and much more. Tour will end back at hotel.
In the afternoon, transfer by coach to the DFDS Seaways terminal for your overnight cruise to Oslo. Enjoy an included buffet-style dinner as you cruise gently up the Kattegat on your way to Oslo. There is dancing and entertainment on board, or you may prefer to sit out on deck and watch the sunset. Accommodation is in 2-berth outside cabins with shower/WC. We recommend bringing an overnight bag for this cruise, to avoid having to carry your suitcases to and from the cabin.
Day 03: Oslo – Eidfjord
Breakfast onboard as you sail up the Oslofjord. Arrive midmorning, disembark, and board your private coach to continue our journey across Hønefoss and Nesbyen, surrounded by a landscape which alternates between forests of pines and lakes. We’ll arrive in the beautiful Hallingdal Valley and proceed toward Gol followed by Geilo, a small town surrounded by mountains and famous for its ski resorts.
Finally, we continue on to the Hardangervidda region and visit the powerful, 597-foot Vøringsfossen Waterfall before reaching Eidfjord and checking into a fantastic local four-star hotel. Dinner is included tonight.
Day 04: Eidfjord – Bergen
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning you’ll cross the splendid Hardangerfjord, travelling across the Hardanger Bridge—one of the longest suspension bridges in the world—and continuing on toward Bergen, Norway’s second largest city. Check in to your centrally-located four-star hotel.
The gateway to the fjords, Bergen is a mesmerizing blend of small-town friendliness, historical intrigue, and natural beauty. In the afternoon, we meet with a local guide for a panoramic city sightseeing tour during which we will see St. Mary’s Church, the exterior of Haakon’s Hall, the colorful and picturesque fish markets, and the old Bryggen Harbor area (no entrances included).
Evening is at leisure, with an optional excursion on the Fløibanen funicular.

NOTE: The optional Fløibanen funicular tour, a railway excursion in the heart of Bergen to the top of Mt. Fløien with fantastic views of the Norwegian coastline, takes about 5-8 minutes and is one of Norway’s best-known attractions.
Day 05: Bergen – Stalheim
Breakfast at your hotel. The morning is at leisure to further explore the stunning fjord capital of Bergen. In the early afternoon we depart from Bergen and travel to the historic town of Voss, with a stunning background of snow clad mountains. After a short break the journey continues towards Nærøy Valley, where your stunning historic four-star hotel is situated.
Dinner is included at the hotel tonight. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the incredible views down the Stalheim Gorge.

Day 06: Stalheim – Flåm – Fagernes
Breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast the coach continues down the Nærøy Valley to Gudvangen where you embark a ferry that takes you along the Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest and most popular fjord journeys in Norway. Disembark in the stunning village of Flåm where you will have some free time. Here you can join an optional excursion on the Flåm Railway, one of the most famous and most breathtaking railway journeys in the world.
In the afternoon the coach journey continues along the Aurlandsfjord, via Aurland and Lærdal. A photo stop is made at the popular Borgund Stave church (entrance not included) before continuing on the last part of the journey to Fagernes. Late dinner and overnight at a gorgeous local four-star resort.
NOTE: The optional 2-hour Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana) excursion covers one of the most scenic and steep railway journeys in the world, taking travelers from the waterfront in Flåm all the way to the very top of the Hardangervidda Plateau’s Myrdal Station—863 m over the ocean!
Day 07: Fagernes – Oslo
After a buffet breakfast you travel towards Oslo, leaving the fjords behind you. Early afternoon arrival in Oslo and check-in to your hotel.
In the afternoon, board a private coach for a panoramic city sightseeing tour of the Norwegian capital, beautifully situated by the Oslofjord. Enjoy the view from the Opera House and explore Vigeland’s Park, a major Scandinavian cultural treasures. We’ll also pass by the Royal Palace and the main street, Karl Johan. The tour ends at the hotel.
Evening and dinner are on your own to further explore Oslo.

Day 08: Oslo – Stockholm
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart Oslo and head for Stockholm by private coach or train, passing through Norwegian and Swedish forests and the region of Värmland, the home of many legends.
Late afternoon arrival to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, for check-in at your centrally located four-star hotel. The evening is at leisure, and dinner is on your own.

Day 09: Stockholm
Breakfast at your hotel. Meet your local guide and depart by private coach for a 3-hour city tour of Stockholm. The city of Stockholm, built on 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges, embraces the unique character of the 13th-century Old Town and modern high-tech architecture. Stockholm’s islands are bordered by Lake Mälaren in the west and the Baltic Sea in the east where the archipelago with its 30,000 islands awaits exploration.
The capital is a big city with a small town personality: its handy size and short walking distances makes it easy to cover a lot in a short time. Stockholm is proudly called ‘Beauty on Water’ and a sightseeing tour including a walk in the Old Town makes a memorable morning tour. Discover a city of contrasts. Go back 750 years in time and feel the medieval atmosphere of the Old Town “Gamla Stan” as you wander through the narrow streets. The seven hundred year old cathedral of Stockholm, Seat of the archbishop, will be seen during your stroll in the Old Town, where you will also get a chance to see Stortorget; where the Stockholm Blood Bath took place. The tour also includes a drive to Fjållgatan where you will enjoy picturesque views of Stockholm. The tour ends at the hotel.
The afternoon and evening are at leisure, with an optional excursion to explore the Vasa Museum. Dinner is on own.

NOTE: The optional Vasa Museum excursion visits the ancient Swedish warship, Vasa, one of the world’s largest intact marine archaeological treasures which has been painstakingly restored it its original state. Please note that this day tour requires a minimum of 2 persons to depart.
Day 10: Stockholm – Helsinki
After breakfast at your hotel, the morning is at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the pier by private coach and depart on the Tallink Silja overnight ferry, sailing along the Baltic Sea, bound for Helsinki. Dinner is on your own tonight.
Accommodation is in 2-berth outside Seaside cabins with shower/WC.

Day 11: Helsinki
Breakfast is served on board before your arrival into Helsinki. Private transfer to the hotel for check in is followed by a panoramic sightseeing tour of “The Daughter of the Baltic Sea”— Helsinki—with a local guide.
The tour includes the Senate Square, the University and the Lutheran Cathedral—all displaying neoclassical architecture of the 1840’s—the colorful Market Square by the sea in the South Harbor, Kaivopuisto Park and diplomatic residences, the imposing statue of Marshall Mannerheim, the Parliament Building, Finlandia Hall, the Orthodox Russian Church Uspenski, and the Sibelius Monument. A visit will also be made to Temppeliaukio Church, called the “Rock Church” as it is carved into solid rock.
Dinner is on your own tonight. Overnight at your centrally-located 4-star hotel.
NOTE: Temppeliaukio Church reserves the right not to allow the entry of visitors in case of ceremonies.
Day 12: Helsinki – St. Petersburg
Breakfast at your hotel. The morning is at leisure to enjoy the charms of Helsinki.
In the afternoon, you and your group transfer to Helsinki’s International Rail Station. Board the eastbound Allegro Train bound for St. Petersburg, arriving in the early evening for check-in at a five star hotel in the heart of the city on the Nevsky Prospekt.

Day 13: St. Petersburg
Begin today with a buffet breakfast at hotel. Afterward you’ll meet a local English-speaking guide for a 3-hour panoramic city sightseeing tour and cover some of the many highlights of the city.
St. Petersburg was founded in 1703 by Tzar Peter the Great, and is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Also known to the world as the “Northern Capital of Russia” and “the Venice of the North”, St. Petersburg was virtually unharmed by the 1930-50s Stalinist reconstruction, and its downtown dazzles the eye of the visitor with splendid palaces, stylish monuments, straight avenues, beautiful bridges, and other attractions.
Drive along Nevsky Prospect and make scenic stops at the Spit of Vasilievsky Island, Senate Square, Peter and Paul’s Fortress, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Arts Square, and the Russian Museum as well as at the two magnificent churches: the Church of the Savior on Blood, and the Nikolsky Cathedral.
The city tour ends at your hotel, and the rest of the day is yours to explore. Your tour escort will recommend additional tours, allowing you to fully grasp this jewel on the Baltic Sea.

Day 14: St. Petersburg
Breakfast at hotel. Meet your local English-speaking guide for a day tour of the city starting out at the six buildings of the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum on the River Neva, afterward touring the state rooms of its Winter Palace—residence of the Russian Tsars. Constructed over the period of two and a half centuries, the Hermitage exhibits a collection of over 3 million cultural and artistic items from the Stone Age to the present.
Return to the hotel after the tour and enjoy the rest of the day on your own, or join the optional excursion to Peterhof Palace.

NOTE: There is an optional 4-hour privately guided tour of Peterhof Palace (private transportation to and from included), a place dedicated to the Sea God Englis. The world-famous palace, fountain and park ensemble are an outstanding landmark of Russian artistic culture from the 18-19th centuries founded by Peter the Great, not far from his capital of St. Petersburg. Please note that this day tour requires a minimum of 10 persons to depart.
Day 15: St. Petersburg – Moscow
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning is at leisure before you are transferred to the Moscow Railway station and board the Sapsan high-speed train bound for Moscow.
Enjoy the beauty of endless Russian landscapes along the River Volga as we travel through the countryside. In the afternoon we’ll arrive in Moscow, checking in at a five-star hotel before you enjoy a free evening to relax or explore the city.

Day 16: Moscow
Breakfast at hotel. Begin a full-day, privately guided city tour of Moscow this morning. You’ll start with seeing some of the city’s many ancient churches and cathedrals, some of them dating as far back as the 15th century, many of them having been restored or even built anew lately: beautiful theatres and palaces; modern business complexes and hotels; buildings of late Soviet architecture such as the Moscow State University and the Central Stadium in Luzhniki, which hosted the 1980 Olympic Games.
Moscow, with over 10 million inhabitants, is vast and at times chaotic. You’ll visit the historical center of the city, which includes the Red Square, Sofiiskaya Embankment, St. Sophia Cathedral, and the panorama of the Kremlin walls. You’ll also see the modern part of the city which includes the Lenin (Vorobievy) Hills–the highest place in Moscow, providing a beautiful view of the city. Next is Poklonnaya Hill, where there is a monument commemorating defenders of the city during World War II.
You’ll experience one of Moscow’s beautiful Metro stations before we take a short break for lunch (not included), and then continue on our tour of the city.
You’ll be returned to your hotel at the end of the city tour, and the rest of the afternoon and evening are free to explore this amazing city in the heart of imperial Russia. There is an optional excursion to see the national Russian dance show, “Kostroma”, tonight. Dinner is on your own.

Day 17: Moscow
Breakfast at hotel. This morning we’ll enjoy a half-day, privately-guided city tour of Moscow during which you will enjoy a privately guided tour of Kremlin Territory with Armoury Chamber. During this tour you’ll walk through the Kremlin grounds and visit the Armoury Chamber with its famous collection of Faberge eggs, jewels, and royal thrones.
The word Kremlin (kreml) means a fortress or walled town; Moscow’s is the biggest and most famous. The earliest ramparts were of earth and wood, but successive rulers raised and strengthened the defenses after every attack. The present brick walls date from the 1490s, though they have been frequently restored.
We’ll end our tour of Moscow’s Kremlin at the hotel. The rest of the afternoon and evening are at leisure. Dinner is on your own tonight, with the option to enjoy a river cruise on the Moskva River.

Day 18: Moscow Departure
After your final buffet breakfast at the hotel, we’ll transfer you directly to Moscow Airport for your flight home.
NOTE: Escorted transfer is only available from your hotel to the Moscow airport on the official end date of the tour. Transfers are conducted by a dual-language speaking representative.
